I knew Jim from his first year at Illinois State University in 1970. Jim and I lived on the same floor in Manchester tower at ISU and were both in the music dept. We played together often there and at a coffee house just off campus. Later when he was in Rockford, he drove to Chicago and we spent a weekend playing music and listening to each others original songs. I recorded him singing several of his. He was always great to be around, always loved his voice and playing and am very saddened to hear of his passing. Be at peace Jim.
