Janice 'Jan' M. Silfies
Born: March 27, 1939 in Princeton, IL
Died: September 1, 2021 in Princeton, IL
Janice "Jan" M. Silfies, 82, of LaMoille, passed away September 1, 2021 at Liberty Village, Princeton.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church, LaMoille with Rev. Paul Butler officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Jan was born March 27, 1939 in Princeton to Cecil and Gladys (Gustafson) Steele. She married Harry "Bud" Silfies on January 12, 1958.
Jan was a 1957 graduate of LaMoille High School and was a member of the First Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband of LaMoille; two daughters, Syndi (Joel) Peck of Quincy and Becki Silfies of Aurora; three grandchildren, Meghan (Dave) Buckley of Quincy, Andrew Parks of Ruston, LA., and Mandi Silfies of Aurora; two great-granddaughters Maddi Silfies and Hayley Buckley; and one brother Richard (Shirley) Steele of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Donald Steele and Norm Steele.
Memorials may be directed to LaMoille Ambulance.
