Kathryn I. Floyd, age 91, of Oswego, and formerly of DePue, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Pavilion on Main Street in Sandwich, IL. She was born on September 25, 1933, in DePue, the daughter of Orville and Dorothy (Nave) Daugherty.

Kathryn was an active member of Lynwood Baptist Church. For several years, she served as an election judge for Kendall County. Kathryn enjoyed playing canasta with her family and friends. My sympathy to Jeff and Scott and your families. My mother Dorothy Rooney Fahler and Kathy met when they worked together right out of high school. I remember getting together with your family at both of our houses over the years as we were growing up. I have very fond memories of those times.
I am vacationing with my family and am so sorry that I can't attend the services. Prayers to your family.

Aunt Kay was such a shining star! She always lit up a room with her style and glam and of course her beautiful smile. She had a heart of gold, a silly sense of humor and family was everything to her. She probably missed her calling as a chef which is great since she always had time to whip up something amazing. She was so much like grandma to me. I have wonderful memories of her and my cousins visiting grandmas, it was truly magical and I know I'm not alone thinking of those very special times. It breaks my heart to know she is no longer here, but knowing there are so many to walk with her thru the streets of gold, while holding a camera in one hand and a spoon in the other brings a smile of wonderful family times. Love you Aunt Kay!

My Aunt Kay was like a second mom to me. I would spend many of my summer days with her and she always had a way of making me feel special. I have great memories of her and I shopping and going to special lunches at The Little Traveler tea room. I will always cherish her meatloaf and sugar cookie recipes which have become a family favorite of my husband and boys.
My Aunt Kay was beautiful inside and out and took great pride in her appearance as well as her home.
She was a woman who loved God and was the kindest, most loving person. I will miss her dearly but I am so happy for her that she will be in a renewed body living eternally with the Lord and her family that passed before her.
