Paul Bomleny Obituary
Died: May 16, 2021; Peoria
PRINCETON - Paul Joseph Bomleny, 52, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 6:08 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Paul was the Voice of Princeton through his 36-year career with WZOE. He loved radio and gave it his all. He was an avid sports fan as he called many sporting events for Princeton. Paul was one of a kind. He loved Jesus, family, friends and Herc and Bongo, his two favorite dogs.
He is survived by his brothers, Peter (Candi) Bomleny of Princeton, and John (Laura) Spies of Hillsboro, Oregon; his sisters, Mary Schmitt of Hemet, California, and Kathy Spies of Dayton, Ohio; three nieces, Jenny (Jose) Chagala, Sarah (Brandon) Clark, and Erika Spies; his cousin, Jerry (JoAnn) Bomleny; and many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peter and Daisy Bomleny; his maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Pearl Kraus; his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Bomleny; and a nephew, Matthew Bence.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of The Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor David Ross of the Tiskilwa Bible Church officiating. Interment will be private. Paul's family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.

I have fond memories of Peter & Paul, twins in first grade. Much later I met Paul again representing WZOE. We had fun catching up with one another!
