Died: September 3, 2022 in La Salle, IL
Robert "Bobby" Waters 57 of La Salle passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 3 at his residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial mass will be Tuesday September 13 at 11in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. Reverend Tom Otto Pastor of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
He was born on February 11, 1965 at St. Mary's Hospital in La Salle to Robert H. and Imogene (Spayer) Waters.
He married his best friend and the love of his life, Michele Bernard on October 10, 1987 at Resurrection Church in La Salle.
At the age of sixteen years old he began to work at Frank's Cigar Store in La Salle. He later became the owner and operator of the business for over twenty years. Recently he has been a self-employed truck driver.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church., and a member of the Knights of Columbus #792 in La Salle. He enjoyed fishing, going to concerts, and playing pool in the local league. Going to Las Vegas playing in league pool was a great experience to him. He cherished being with family and friends. All the people he met through the business meant a lot to him.
He is survived by a son: Zachary Waters of Fairfield CA.
His parents: Robert H. and Imogene Waters of La Salle.
His sister: Marianne Waters of Fairfield CA.
A niece and nephew.
He is preceded in death by: his brother Michael (1976) and his paternal and maternal grandparents, and Uncle Eddie Spayer
