Sarah Kruk Obituary
KEYSER, WV – Sarah O. "Lena" Kruk, 93, a resident of Piney Valley and formerly of Mountain View Drive, Keyser, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Piney Valley.
Born October 29, 1922 in Hewitt, WV, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Erna (Ellis) Aleshire. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Francis J. "Moe" Kruk, Sr. on August 10, 2013; two brothers, Estel and Edsel Aleshire and three sisters Zoma Burns, Roma McQuain and Virgie Burns.
Mrs. Kruk was a homemaker. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Assumption Ladies Guild.
Surviving are her four sons, Francis J. "Joe" Kruk, Jr. and wife Rita of Canton, NC, Thomas M. Kruk and wife Gayle of Ravenswood, WV, Larry W. Kruk of Hanover, PA and John M. Kruk and wife Melissa of Naples, FL; and three sisters, Thermal Cook, Nellie Gordon and June Brown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anna Corbin, Casey Kruk, Corey Kruk, Andrew Kruk, Larry Kruk, Jr., Lucas Kruk, Katie Dull, Kyle Kruk and Keira Kruk and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Corbin, Cooper Kruk, Henry Corbin, Kampbell Kruk, Everett Dull, , Holly Kruk, Hanna Kruk and McCartney Dull.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church, 34 James Street, Keyser, on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. John Michael Beers as celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Thomas Cemetery, Keyser.
A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m.
