Linda Jane Myers Brown

Linda Jane Myers Brown, 79, formerly of Rockingham County, and City of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1946, in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of the late Nelson David Myers and Mary Josephine Randall Myers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Larry Wayne Brown, and her sister, Brenda Myers St. Clair. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A homemaker, she enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and volunteered with the U.S. Forestry Service, where she and her late husband hosted families at the campgrounds. She enjoyed trout fishing and going to Outer Banks of North Carolina, playing bingo, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Michael Brown (Carla), and daughter, Melissa Mathias (Billy); two grandchildren, Tyler Brown (Haley) and Tiffany Moxley (Thomas); and five great-grandchildren. At Linda's request, no formal services are scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
