Martha Beth Serrett Colin, 54, of Waynesboro, Va., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

She was born on August 16, 1966 in Waynesboro, Va., the daughter of the late Melvin Bradford "Brad" Serrett and Frances Craig Serrett.

Martha was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Her kind soul was witnessed every day as she cared for her mother. She was funny and her laughter was infectious. To know Martha was to love her. She had many talents and enjoyed making various crafts, especially handmade jewelry.

In addition to her mother of Waynesboro, she is survived by her true loves, husband, Javier Colin and son, Caleb Colin both of Waynesboro; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Serrett Burner and husband, Ronnie of Waynesboro; father-in-law, Leopodo Colin; niece, Mandy Holsinger and husband, Linden of Staunton; nephew, Michael Troxell and friend, Megan of Harrisonburg; aunts, Edna C. "Nookie" Collins, Lody Serrett and Mary Serrett; numerous cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, infant sister, Sharon Serrett, sister, Ava Serrett, mother-in-law, Maria Colin and a special friend, Becky Lam.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel with Pastor Titus Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kent Hite, Jacobie Napier, Zachery Spencer, Steven Ward, Brent Ward and Quincey Lowery.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to Waynesboro First Aid Crew, 201 W. Broad St., Waynesboro, VA 22980.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
