Laura Parker Obituary

Piketon Laura Marie Parker, 51, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born August 6, 1972 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Stanley Parker and Bonnie Warner Parker who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Jayme (Chase) Fite of Peebles, Ohio; brothers, David Parker of New Orleans, Louisiana, Doug (Tiffany) Parker of Peebles, Ohio and Chris Parker of Piketon, Ohio; grandchildren, Cashius and Cayden Fite; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Lee Parker and her step-father, Ottie Blankenship.

Laura worked at Pike County Job and Family Services as a case worker for over 20 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
