Brittany Byington Obituary

Byington, 19 CENTREVILLE, Md. - Brittany Elizabeth Byington, 19, of Centreville, Md. gained her wings on February 26, 2014. Born on January 15, 1995, she was the daughter of Curtis P. Byington and Kelli M. Krewson Miles. Brittany was a 2013 graduate of Queen Anne's County High School. She was a member of the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company and had recently earned her EMT certification. Brittany was employed as a Patient Care Technician at Chester River Hospital and attended Chesapeake College in pursuit of her nursing degree. Brittany enjoyed life and her charismatic charm lit up a room. Brittany loved to hunt and fish. Brittany was a very loyal and sentimental young woman and nothing was more important to her than her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Kelli Miles and her husband, Stevon, of Centreville, Md. and Curtis Byington of Seaford, Del.; her step-sisters, Heather Nash of Trappe, Md. and Samantha Yale of Seaford, Del.; her maternal grandmother, Ellen Bailey of Seaford, Del.; her paternal grandmother, Ola Mae Byington of Easton, Md.; her boyfriend, Gregory Harris of Sudlersville, Md., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lawrence Krewson; and her paternal grandfather, George Byington. A Celebration of Brittany's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, Md., where friends and family can visit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014. Burial will follow in Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville, Md. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Co. P.O. Box 61 Sudlersville, MD 21688 to benefit the Brittany Byington EMT Training Fund. For online condolences, please visit www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
