Nelson Fisher Obituary

MILFORD - Nelson Fisher was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Parksley, Va. He joined the Lord on Dec. 7, 2011. He was the son of the late Frank and Lillie Mae Fisher. He attended elementary school in Accomack County, Va. He graduated from James H. Grove High School in Georgetown. He worked various jobs including Mid-Del Door Company, Milford Memorial Hospital and the State of Delaware. He was a long time member of Union Baptist Church in Lincoln. Before he took ill, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren, hanging out at Wilsons Auction, watching TV, surfing the internet and simply talking to family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fisher; his mother, Lillie Mae Fisher; and four sisters, Christine White Dix, Dorothy Mae Fisher, Arnita Hardy, and Vester Rue. He is survived by one sister, Rosa Lee Brownlee of Parksley, Va.; two sons, Sean Perry of Magnolia, and Freddie Combs Jr. of Wilmington; one daughter, Deknetra Perry of Wilmington. He has eight grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 205 Northwest 4th Street, Milford, where friends may call two hours prior. Pastor Gregory Nelson will officiate. There will also be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16 at the church. My memories with Nelson Fisher well what i remember we use to talk on the phone alot and what i like about him he would speak the truth about things he was a nice and honest person he was also love and will always be in my heart and will be missed i know that god has called you home and that your spirit is with us all the time you will never be forgotten and that you will always be thought of in our minds.
