It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" John Kelly, Sr. Bob died on April 21, 2021. Bob was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 6, 1944 to Raymond and Mary Kelly.
He was an officer with the New York City Police Department and later became a Registered Nurse in the emergency department at Beth Israel Medical Center also in NYC. He retired to Lincoln, Delaware in 2007. Bob led an active life in retirement, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, constructing projects in his workshop and maintaining a yard which he loved.
Bob is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his son, Robert John Kelly Jr. (Nikole); two daughters, Patricia Kelly and Marie Theresa Kelly; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Andrew, Abby and Finn; his sisters, Nancy Klous, and Mary Ellen Murphy. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond. Additional family include step-daughter, Christine and son-in-law, Geof Bowie and their son, Walter.
There will be a private memorial service held by invitation only.
