Sandra Barrett Obituary
Born June 30, 1964, in Morocco, Africa, Sandy was the second of three daughters born to Thomas S. Barrett (deceased) and Margaret Louise Coviello Barrett.
Surviving are her mother; three sisters, M. Elizabeth Barrett of Lewes, Laurie Barrett (Michelle Beck) of Wake Forest, N.C., and Andrea Voras; aunts, Rose Emick of Lewes and Fran Marano of Clearfield, Pa.; uncles, Dennis Barrett of Falls Creek, Pa., Albert Coviello (Jean) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Thomas Feightner of Olean, N.Y.; many cousins; and her beloved puppy, Ms. April Jeanne.
Sandy attended Hunter College and the New York Institute of Film Academy. She was an entrepreneur who designed jewelry, produced and wrote for the entertainment industry, and represented various artists. Sandy also used her artistic abilities in photography to share her world travels, like to Paris, Vienna, Italy, Hawaii, and India.
Sandy was ferociously independent, brave, vibrant, creative, spiritual, and thoughtful; she would be the first person to send a gift or lend someone a hand. She was always fun with a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp wit– if there were children around they always wanted to be with Sandy! She had no qualms about sharing her opinion or letting you know if she was mad, however, she also never failed to let you know how much she cared and that you were not alone. Her spirit can be captured in Gretchen Carlson's quote: Be brave and be fearless, and for God's sake, stand up for yourself.
Sandy was deeply loved by her family and friends; there will be a big void for those who were fortunate enough to have experienced Sandy's grace and compassion.
A funeral service will be held on August 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Clearfield with a burial immediately following at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian, Pa.
