Teresa Castleberry Obituary
The daughter of David James and Ruth Jane (Stidham) LaRue was born February 3, 1954, in Salinas, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Castleberry; her second husband, Reuben Street; 2 sisters, Mary Gibson and Roberta Torres; 2 brothers, Neddie LaRue and David Jackson LaRue; and her granddaughter, Amy Colleen Short.
Teresa was a CNA in California for most of her life. She enjoyed fishing, going to Casinos, and spending time with her family. She never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone.
She is survived by her son, Louis Castleberry Jr. of Knoxville, AR; her daughters, Rachel Campbell (Chancy) of Mt. Judea, Christena Mobley (Tommy) of Clarksville, and Josephine Castleberry (Lee) of Pelsor; her brother, David James LaRue Jr. of Oregon; her sisters, Susan Jolley and Janie Ayala both of California; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 12 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Bass Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Family Cemetery in Bass, AR.
Visitation will be from 11 to 12 prior to the service on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Melissa Marshall, Kessie Ward, John Weber, Eli Castleberry, Reuben Rodriguez, Gary Short, Jimmie Short, and Ronnie Short.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the Hospice nurses at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
