Albertina "Bertha" Cunha D'Amato, 100, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Anthony L. D'Amato, passed away on December 3, 2024 at the Milford Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Milford. Loving mother of Louis A. (Rose) D'Amato of West Haven. Bertha was predeceased by her sister, Izabel Antonio, and brothers, Antonio and Manuel Cunha Jr. Bertha was born in Woonsocket, RI on June 18, 1924, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Cunha. Prior to her retirement, Bertha was a waitress for Jimmies of Savin Rock, West Haven and the former Casa Marra Restaurant of New Haven.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven MONDAY morning at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish in St. John Vianney Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends may call MONDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
