Dr. Ardolino was my dentist from the 1960's until I relocated away from West Haven in the 1990's. During that time we became friends. I am saddened by his passing.

I bid a tearful bedside farewell to my Dad last Monday on a snowy night at St. Raphael's hospital in New Haven. Without a doubt, it was the most heart-wrenching moment of my life. But as his son, I will remain strong alongside his loving memory.
One of the greatest blessings in life is having a father you can trust, and I am very fortunate to have had that. I had no choice - he was my dentist.
A great man and a leader in the Italian-American community. An esteemed graduate of Providence College in 1944 and St. Louis University School of Dentistry in 1948. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran and an undefeated welterweight boxer. A devoted family man with a generous heart. Opened his dental practice in 1948 and retired in 2001 - that's 53 years behind the drill. Played 18 holes of golf at least twice a week for nearly 50 years, and never took a golf cart. Nailed 5 “hole-in-ones" during that stretch. Was a HUGE fan of the UConn Women's Basketball Team - never missed a game.
So many accolades and genuine qualities to this great man, whom I am proud to have called "Dad." And along with all of his brilliant achievements throughout his wonderful life, all who knew him and loved him, were always well aware of his most outstanding quality. The guy was funny as hell.
His loving son, Tommy
