Andrew Munz

MUNZ, ANDREW J. Andrew J. "Uncle Sonny" Munz, 82, of Henry St., East Haven passed away at home on Dec. 3, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband for 58 years of Lena Criscuolo Munz. Mr. Munz was born in New Haven April 12, 1929, son of the late Joseph and Mary Guarino Munz. He worked as a warehouse man for the former Spear Newman Co. for more than twenty years prior to his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Josephine Bortolan of Wallingford; sister in law, Marie Amendola of East Haven; brother in law, Augie Brozek; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his niece, Rachel Amendola; six sisters, Barbara Brozek, Louise (Albert) Rapuano, Kate (John) Adamo, Regina (Earl) Latimer, Rose Gaetano and Anna (Mark) Esposito; father in law and mother in law, Joseph and Lucy Criscuolo; and brothers in law, Joseph Criscuolo, Anthony "Jazz" Amendola and Joseph Bortolan. The family would like to express their thanks to CT. Hospice Homecare for the wonderful care given to Mr. Munz and also to Donald & Frances Wynne. Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services in The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) Wednesday afternoon at 1:00. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
