Andrew Scasino Obituary
June 7, 1945 - December 9, 2024
Andrew Scasino Jr., 79 of North Haven died December 9th peacefully at home. Born in New Haven son of the late Andrew and Carmel Spadacenta Scasino, Andy worked for many years as a manager at the former Pegnataro's Supermarket, and more recently at the Fireside Restaurant. He was an avid Yankees fan, but enjoyed watching all sports, especially his great-nephews play basketball and baseball. He was a meticulous dresser, always wearing matching hat and shirt. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved his sister-in-law Mary Jane's baked goods. He is survived by a brother Nick (Mary Jane) Scasino, nephews David (Mary) Scasino and Nick (Jennifer) Scasino, a niece Deborah (Craig) Scasino-Werman all of North Haven, grandnieces and nephews Marc (Marissa) Scasino, Nicole (Bill) Ramos, Braden Scasino, Nicholas Scasino, & Cody Scasino. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Peter H. Torello & Son FH, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A memorial service will take place at 3pm in the same location. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation www.wish.org/ct

I do not know Mr. Scasino but I drove past his house multiple times a day driving my kids to school. I always see different cars there at all different times and I use to see Mr. Scasino driving his car around. I would say a prayer for him every single time I drove past his house. My deepest condolences and may he rest peacefully. God Bless.
