Annunziata Robustelli
Annunziata (Nancy) Robustelli, (age 70), of East Haven, entered into a peaceful rest on Sunday, September 14, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Dementia. She was at home, surrounded by family when she passed. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Robustelli and the cherished mother of Joanna (Antonio) DaCruz and Claudia (Mijail) Perez Temazati. Nancy took great pride in her daughters and dedicated her life to them. However, the true lights of her life were her grandchildren, Antonio and Bibiana Perez Temazati. She found her greatest joy in being their Nonna and was truly adored by them. Also left to cherish her memory are siblings Alfonso (Assunta) Buono, Serafina (Dominic) Auriemma, both of North Haven and Emilio (Maria) Buono of San Valentino Torio, Italy. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Robustelli and her brother, Annibale Buono of Italy. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and friends whom she welcomed into her family with open arms. Nancy was born in San Valentino Torio, Italy on January 2, 1955, daughter of the late Nicola Buono and Carmela Albana. She would come to America in 1968 alongside her family to start a better life. Nancy worked at the infamous Henry Richard Pocket Book MFG shop in Hamden, CT. It was here she would meet lifelong friend Rosa (Angelo) Landino, the beloved Godmother of her daughter, Claudia. She also found work at Winchester's Repeating Arms Co in North Haven. Once her daughters were settled in school, she began working at Covidien (then known as United States Surgical), in 1990 in the autosuture department. She retired in 2020 after 30 years of dedicated service. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family who will always hold dear the Sunday Dinners, holidays and picnics in her presence. Nancy loved family get togethers and also enjoyed watching News 8, dancing in the kitchen to Italian music, and shopping. A devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt, and nonna, she will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully, Mom. Until we meet again, we are comforted knowing you are reunited with Dad to continue your love story, dancing once again to the Italian music you both loved.
The visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning, September 18, 2025, from 9:00-10:30. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in East Haven with entombment to follow in the All Saints Mausoleum . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved grandchildren, Antonio & Bibiana Perez Temazati.
