Anthony D'Amico Obituary

D’AMICO, ANTHONY N. Anthony N. D’Amico, age 77, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Orlando D’Amico. Born in Bronx, NY on February 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Jennie Chanci D’Amico. Mr. D’Amico was proud to have been a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later became the Chief Financial Officer of the Tenex Corporation of Danbury from 1986 until 1994. Anthony was born and raised in the Bronx and took great enjoyment in his monthly returns to Arthur Avenue with his wife. He was also an avid golfer and New York Yankees and NY Giants supporter, having been a season ticket holder for the NY Giants for 51 years. Anthony’s greatest pleasure, however, was found in the time he spent with his family and grandchildren, whom he adored. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 54 years, Lorraine, other survivors include his three sons, Mark D’Amico and his wife Alison of Glenview, IL, Michael D’Amico and his wife Lori of Shelton and Matthew D’Amico and his wife Tammy of Oxford; and six cherished grandchildren, Lauren Tuppeny, Anthony D’Amico, Jason D’Amico, Alexa D’Amico, Jenna D’Amico and Noelle D’Amico. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Burial with full military honors will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Mountain Meadow Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. For online condolences, please visit us at www.abriola.com

Mark, Mike & Matt, I am so sorry for the loss of your Father. I always enjoyed our debates on the superiority of the Cowboys over the Giants. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the services. May he rest in Peace.

Matt and family. Very sorry to hear about loss of Dad.
His presence has been missed this year at Oxford and I'm sure he will be fondly remembered watching you stroke the ball at the driving range!

Lorraine and the boys...so sorry to hear the bad news. Marty and I absolutely loved Tony and have SOOO many great memories of the times we've spent with him! A very, very, very special human being...great sense of humor, articulate and maticulous financial executive and a wonderful family guy! He'll be missed by many more than you can possibly imagine!
