Anthony Gargano Obituary
Anthony B. Gargano, Sr., 84, of North Haven, formerly of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his home with his loving wife Marie and daughter Darlene by his side. He was the beloved husband of Marie Maffeo Gargano for 62 years. Anthony was born in New Haven on March 6, 1938 and was the son of the late Cosmo and Clara DePino Gargano. He had worked proudly as an iron worker for C.W. Blakeslee Construction Company, Cerro, and Quinnipiac University for many years. Anthony, who was known by most as "Pop" loved spending time in Florida at the beach and by the pool. Beloved father of Darlene Gargano and Anthony (Jen) Gargano Jr. Loving grandfather of Anthony, Logan, and Brandon Gargano. Also survived by his sister Terri Ann Amore. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Gargano.
The visiting hours will be on Wednesday, October 5th from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Pio of Pietreicina at Church of Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven to on Thursday morning at 9:30 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. www.northhavenfuneral.com
