Antonio Palmieri Obituary
Antonio Palmieri, 88, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of almost 64 years to Teresa Ferrucci Palmieri. Antonio was born in Faicchio, providence of Benevento, Italy, on November 23, 1935, and was the son of the late Pietro and Antonietta Bellenti Palmieri. He was a hardworking and dedicated mechanist at United Aluminum for many years until his retirement. Antonio enjoyed making wine, gardening, jarring tomatoes for sauce, dancing and driving fast. His greatest joy was going on family vacations and spending time with his family, who he loved unconditionally. Loving father of Pietro Palmieri, Antonietta Acciardo, and Maria Annunziato (Michael). Beloved Poppie of Anthony (Jessica), Michael, Teresa, Melissa (Alex), Peter, Anita Palmieri, Matthew and Marissa Acciardo, Gabriella Hendricks (Philip), Brianna, Nina, and Lorenzo Annunziato. Brother of Silvio Palmieri (Pasqualina), Rita Riccitelli, and the late Alfonsina Mazzucco, Cristina Mazzucco, Angelo Palmieri, and Antonietta Pirraglia. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Alessandro Riccitelli, Carmine Mazzucco, Andrea Mazzucco, Pasquale Pirraglia, and a sister-in-law, Carmela Palmieri.
The visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 3rd, from 3 to 6 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning, November 4th, at 10:00 in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. www.northhavenfuneral.com
