I first came to know Andy when he was the President of NARFE Chapter 257. He led the group of active and retired federal employees.
His gentle manner and kind ways indicated a decent human being. He never disappointed. He inspired the membership with his great dedication, and even after he stepped back from the presidency, he continued to serve in another office.
My dear mom, Lorraine Thompson, was a group travel leader for seniors, and she also knew Andy and Mary, and enjoyed their company tremendously.
Andy was loved by so many and will certainly be deeply missed in so many lives.

Rest in Peace Anzio a truly good man and a loyal friend. His lust for life and commitment to his wife Mary was admired by many. A true Renaissance man, growing up, I learned many words of wisdom. Never growing tired of his stories of the old country. His abounding sense of humor hid a quiet man who I looked up to my entire life. Anzios mother Gemma a very close friend and confident of my Nonnie Elena Ticozzi remained friends for their lives. Anzio was always there in times of need in our family, attending weddings, family gatherings for polenta and countless times he stood pallbearer to many of my family members. He always made time. Rest in Peace Anzio. You will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
