Arthur "Art" Lima

 and grandfather.
SEYMOUR, CT: Arthur J. Lima of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Griffin Hospital with his family by his side after a short illness. He was the loving husband of 48 years to Mary Lynn (Pizzuto) Lima. Art was born in Boston, MA, on March 10, 1940 and was the son of the late Joseph and Alice (DelMonico) Lima. After graduating high school, Art attended Chamberlain Jr. College. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and eventually moved to Connecticut where he worked as a Men's Buyer at the Edw. Malley Co. (New Haven) and the DM Read Co. (Danbury). Art then went on to be the proud owner of Service Master of the Valley for 20 years. He eventually retired from the Judicial Branch of the State of CT in 2016. Art loved martinis, horse racing, watching his birds, and being a member of the Silver Sluggers. He especially loved playing poker with his children and grandchildren. Art was a good man who loved his family above all else. In addition to his wife, Mary, survivors include his four loving children, Jeffrey (Melanie) Lima, Meredith (Dan) Kazer, Allison (Kevin) Lardner, and Abigail (Scott) Deen; 10 adored grandchildren, Matthew and Jane Lima, Kelsey (Lee) Mengal, Christian (Chloe Campoli) Wallace, Ben Kazer, Zoe, Nora and Ava Lardner, and Oliver, Annie and Lucy Deen; He also leaves many nieces, nephews and "in-laws". Besides his parents, Art was predeceased by his sister, Christina English of NC, and his father-in-law, Ernie Pizzuto of CT. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. DIRECTLY in the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish), 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, Art's family requested memorial donations in his honor be made to The ALS Association or the
