Aurelian "Chubb" Rutherford Descartes Kamp
Aurelian "Chubb" Kamp, 8, passed tragically on November 3, 2025, with his grandfather, John Morris, in a tragic house fire in North Haven. Born to Frederick and Tahia Kamp on June 23, 2017, in New Haven, he was an exceptional student in his mother's homeschool, and whether it was ice skating, sailing, kayaking, playing chess, driving his John Deere tractor, learning to fly, or working as President of his company, RLR Landscaping, Chubb proved that age and size were no limits to ambition and hard work. Above all, he loved his family and pets, especially his older brothers Frederick III and Thaddeus, his grandmother, Alba Morris, his great uncles Ahmed (Judy) Cardona and Warren (Nadja) Gould, his cousin Savannah, his feathered brothers Boo-Boo, Jerry, and Mini-Bird, and his blue crab Bluey. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents Carmen M. Descartes, Aurelio Cardona, Margaret H. Kamp, and Frederick Kamp. His love and reach were so expansive that his friends cannot be enumerated, but all of you, especially in his neighborhood, know who you are.
The visiting hours for Chubb at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, will be on Friday, November 14th from 4 to 8 p.m., during which time his grandfather John will be remembered.
