Barbie Lynn Albert, surrounded by her family, passed away on January 12, 2019 at 46 years old after a long and valiant battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Matt Albert, and beloved mother of Haley and Kylie Albert. Barbie grew up in Madison, CT and was a graduate of Daniel Hand High School. She worked in her family's inn and restaurant, The Dolly Madison. Barbie was a vibrant person and enjoyed a good cup of tea, long walks, reading, brunch with her friends, and sitting in front of the fireplace with her family. She was a gourmet cook and outstanding baker, never needing to use a recipe. Her children were her greatest joy. Besides her husband and daughters, she is survived by her mother, Melody Forrest and her father, Art Forrest; her siblings Lance (Diane) Forrest, David Forrest and Susan (Roger) Taylor; her mother in-law and father in-law, Laurie and Tony Martorella, her sister-in-law Kate(David) Williams; her nephews Lance and Brett, her nieces Lindsay, Christy and Noelle. Barbie's family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation at First Congregational Church, 110 Broad Street, Guilford, CT on Tuesday, January 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Barbie's life will be held on Wednesday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 110 Broad Street, Guilford, CT.
