Barry Beauvais Obituary

Barry T. Beauvais
Barry T. Beauvais, 87, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Hartford Turnpike, North Haven for many years, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael's campus with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Christine D'Acunto Beauvais. They met as teenagers and shared a beautiful life raising four children together. Barry was born in New Haven on November 19, 1934 and was the son of the late Edgar and Margaret Short Beauvais. He served his country faithfully in the US Air Force during the Korean war. Barry worked as an electrician for Marlin Firearms and O.F. Mossberg. He later joined I.B.E.W. Local #90; through the union, he established his electrical contract company, B&C Electric, where he worked until his retirement. Barry was hardworking, and, although a quiet man, he had an abundance of good friends. For nearly 20 years, he enjoyed retirement in North Palm Beach, FL, where he loved golfing, fishing and crabbing, as well as spending time with close friends and family. He was the loving father of Laura Jean Beauvais (Bostwick), Karen Frulla (Frank), Tom Beauvais (Joanne) and Lisa Miller (Wayne). Grandfather of Erika Black (Josh), Elizabeth Lombardi (Amanda), Sean Dickinson, Ryan Beauvais, Amanda Theodoseau (Nick), Matthew and Christopher Beauvais, Melissa Mitchell (Eric) Alexa Mastriano, April Minaberry (J.D.) and Kevin Miller (Abby). Also survived by ten great-grandchildren. Brother of Joan Osborne, Cathy Brenneis (Mike) and the late George and Ronnie Beauvais, and stepbrothers Norman and Robert Joyce.
The visiting hours will be Thursday morning, April 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choosing. www.northhavenfuneral.com
