BONNIE ROTH Obituary

ROTH, BONNIE L. Bonnie L. Roth, 59, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Masonicare in Wallingford, CT. Born March 17, 1957 in New Haven, CT, she is predeceased by her parents, Gustave Roth and Henrietta Burkbuckler Roth, and two brothers, Bruce and Wesley Roth. Bonnie graduated from West Haven High School in 1975 and went on to receive an Associate in Science from Gateway Community College. She was the owner of Collector’s Castle in Wallingford for six years and earned recognition in a featured article for the 1988 edition of Collier’s Year Book before selling the business in 1990. Bonnie took pride in working as a manager at Boscov’s, and in her spare time enjoyed writing, cross-stitching, and spoiling her cats, Baby and Eli. She is survived by her brother, Glenn Roth of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; niece, Kelly Burns of Branford, CT; and loving son, David Lozowski of Wallingford, CT. She is deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. Her courageous spirit and sharp wit will be celebrated Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at First Congregation Church, 23 S Main St, Wallingford. Family, friends, and others whose lives Bonnie touched are welcome at the service and the reception immediately following it. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lupus Foundation of America or to the charity of one’s choice.

I will miss my dear friend Bonnie always. Her strength in the face of trials inspired me. Her quick wit and sense of humor brought me joy and laughter. My thoughts and prayers go out to her son David, whose devotion to his mom during the last months of her life reflected his deep and abiding love for her...Love you, Bonnie. You are with the angels now. oxox
