Brian Michael Gildea Esq. was born on November 1st 1939 in New Haven CT. He was the son of Thomas and Lillian Gildea, the 2nd eldest child of four, Thomas John, Maureen being the youngest and Raymond being the eldest. He died October 15th 2021.
Brian graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1953 where he was a three sport varsity athlete with swimming and basketball being his primary focus and participating in the drama club. He served in the Air Force from 1958-1962 where he led the Blue Comet Drill Team.
From there he went on to attend New Haven University and graduated in 1964 with an Associates in Engineering. He received a varsity letter in basketball, was a charter member of KPS Fraternity as well as member of the drama club. He then attended Providence College and graduated with a BA degree in 1967. He was involved in Intramural Sports, pre legal club and was president of the New Haven Club. His passion for law led him to Suffolk University Law School where he became a legal advisor to the Boston Building Commissioner graduating with a law degree in 1970. Brian went on to have an extensive and successful law career specializing in immigration law. His most memorable and proud moments were arguing cases before the Supreme Court.
Brian loved to travel abroad, he spent his extracurricular time cooking, enjoying music, watching sports and had a deep love for classic cars. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and cooking each weekend for all of us. He was a wonderful, loving, giving father, uncle and friend. Dear Stefan and Gildea Family,
I was saddened to learn of Brian's passing. He was a well respected member of the bar who practiced law with honor, and integrity.
My most heartfelt condolences.

Uncle Brian was a truly wonderful man. I will miss him greatly. During her lifetime, my mom (Maureen) turned to her brother often in times of need and relied upon him for advice and care. I remember how he implored the larger Gildea family to help my daughter, Lillian (namesake of her grandmother, Lillian Gildea) during her current life-threatening fight with metastatic disease. As the last of his generation, he was my last connection to my mom (his younger sister). I imagine a great party in heaven as all four Gildea children celebrate the life of my Uncle Brian Gildea. May angels' wings guide him in comfort. Love, Amy
