Bridget Albert

ALBERT, BRIDGET Bridget Albert, 62, of Orange, entered into rest suddenly on March 21, 2014. She was the spouse of Lesley Giovanelli, and the daughter of Rowena O’Sadnick and Lewis Albert. Born in Illinois, Bridget and Leslie met in San Diego in 1983 and in settled in Orange in 1989. Bridget was a graduate of Georgetown University. She was an extremely active member of the community and deeply involved in animal welfare. She and Lesley founded the volunteer group for the local regional animal shelter. She was a founding member of AARF. Bridget was committed to animal welfare. Any stray dog or injured animal had a loving second chance if found by Bridget. She began her journalism career with the Naugatuck Daily News, then moved to editor of The Bulletin where she was happy and at her best covering the news for Orange, Woodbridge and Bethany. At the time of her death, Bridget was the editor of the Orange Times. In addition to her spouse Lesley, Bridget leaves her aunt, Nancy A. Porter, uncle, Thomas O’Sadnick, cousins, Jack and James Porter, father in law, Louis Giovanelli, sister-in-law Karen and brother-in-law Albert deCant. Friends may visit the West Haven Funeral Home at the green on Saturday March 29 from 11 to 1 pm. At 1 pm, remembrances will be shared at the funeral home.
