Bruce Clinton Obituary

Bruce Graham Clinton
Bruce Graham Clinton 5/4/38- 11/15/21 Age 83
After a long and courageous battle with interstitial lung disease, an onset attributed to autoimmune disease, Bruce Clinton passed away at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years Susan Parkinson Clinton, his children, Heather Clinton and spouse Kurt Siuzdak, Stacy Clinton and Andrew Vogl, Wendy Clinton and spouse Stephen Harris, Derek Clinton and spouse Meghan Clinton, and Courtney Clinton, spouse Peter Korakas. He also left his legacy of grandchildren; Devin, Hunter, Grant and Gracen Siuzdak, Oliver and Miles Vogl, Desi and Aston Harris, Andrew, Chase and Brooks Clinton and Ethan and Kaylee Korakas.
Bruce Clinton was a man known for his integrity, humor, passion for work, and bottomless love for family. He was a very accomplished golfer garnering 8 club champions at the New Haven Country Club, multiple pro-ams and a club championship at the Madison Country Club. He was the former president of both country clubs in addition to the past president of The Cove, a grieving center for children.
Born in Troy NY on May 4, 1938 to Samuel and Katherine Clinton. He was raised in New Haven. Schooled at Northfield Mount Hermon in MA and Hobart William Smith in NY, and he continued his education with an MBA from the University of New Haven. At Hobart, Bruce lettered in baseball, basketball, soccer and golf, was the captain of the golf team and president of the Theta Delta Chi. Bruce was also a Commander in the Air Force. The patriarch of a large loving family, he was the one all would go to for sound advice which he sagely and lovingly doled out up until the day of his passing.
As a real estate broker with Bruce Clinton and Associates, Bruce developed the popular neighborhood Heatherwood in Madison. Later, after a successful tenure at Waddell and Reed, Bruce chose to follow his passion of helping entrepreneurs solve strategic problems associated with growth and transition. He loved helping small business owners with their business growth and hearing their startup stories. He was a believer in doing what you love for a living.
A very special note of gratitude is extended by all to the loving care provided by Dr. Anthony Mascia, Dr. Gerber, Dr. Toosey, VNA, Hospice, and Dr. Donna Criscenzo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cove for grieving children (covect.org) or to research of this little known condition of interstitial lung disease (foundation.chestnet.org or ipffoundation.org or greatnonprofits.org).
A casual celebration of life will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Madison Winter Club, 251 Boston Post Rd., Madison, CT.
