Carl was one of the nicest people I have ever known....he photographed my wedding, was Santa Claus to my daughter when she was young, took me to see Yale Basketball games, and would always be happy to see and talk to me when I would run into him at East Haven Stop & Shop. He will be missed.

To be a friend tried and true is just a piece of DeMolay ritual and that of my friend Carl Eks life. We who have had the privilege of being his friend will miss him. Rest in Peace my friend.

So sorry to hear about Carl's passing. I haven't seen him in years, but remember him fondly, seeing him whenever our friend Paul would be playing in the area. Carl would be singing along, having a great time with all of us! SUCH a nice guy. He will be missed.
