Carl Fiore

FIORE, CARL PhD. Carl Fiore, PhD, 84, of Wallingford, formerly of Burlington, husband of the late Mary Rose Fiore, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was born in New Haven, CT. son of the late Frank and Concetta Fiore. He graduated from Yale University and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Carl received a PhD from Fordham University and taught there until returning to Connecticut where he was a professor of Biology at Central Connecticut State University until his retirement. Carl is survived by his brother Frank A. Fiore and his wife Maureen, his sister Elizabeth Landolfi and her husband Lawrence, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (Feb.14.) from 9:30-10:30 AM. Funeral procession from the Ahern Funeral Home will be Thursday at 10:30 AM followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick, Rt. 4, Collinsville, at 11:00 AM.
