Carmel Imbesi Carbone
Carmel Imbesi Carbone, of LaQuinta, CA died peacefully on March 21, 2024, in California. She was born in New Haven on October 23, 1944, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Montesano Imbesi.
Carmel grew up in West Haven and was a 1962 graduate of West Haven High School. She worked as an LPN at St. Raphael Hospital as well as various nursing facilities and private duty. Carmel had a beautiful heart. She loved to travel and entertain and always loved a good party. She was a resident of California for the past 40 years.
Carmel was the loving sister of Connie (late Edwin "Butch) Bates and Johnna (Salvatore) Criscio. Aunt of Salvatore A. (Arlene) Criscio, Jr. and John (Patty) Criscio and great-aunt of Nicholas A. Criscio. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis F. Carbone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Place, New Haven. So sad to read of Carmel“s passing.....she was my first child hood friend, we lived across from each other on the corner of Washington Ave. and California St., we went to grammar school and West Haven High School together. Carmel was the sweetest, kindest friend anyone could ever want. My Special Friend May you Rest in Eternal Piece...you will always remain in my prayers and in my Heart...
