Catherine Ann Panico
Catherine Ann Panico. of Wallingford. died suddenly at home from natural causes on January 16, 2025. Beloved daughter and first child of Shirley L. Panico and the late James A. Panico. Sister to Gregory S. Panico of Furlong, PA and Christopher J. Panico and his wife, Bota, of Arlington, VA, aunt to Camilla A. Panico and James V. Panico. She also leaves behind her longtime devoted friend. Allan Wilcox.
Cathy was born on September 1, 1959, in New Haven. She graduated from North Haven High School in 1977 and from Bay Path Junior College in Longmeadow, MA and from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. She held many positions in retail management and worked as a customer service representative for Connecticut Container Corporation.
An elegant and attractive woman, Cathy had a creative nature and enjoyed artistic pursuits, antiques and home decorating. Cathy had an interest in local history and Victorian architecture. She was a volunteer with the Wallingford Historical Society. She provided loving homes to many adored cats over the years, and, after her retirement, she spent many hours visiting and helping her mother. She made wonderful soups and baked goods from scratch and kept a lovely home. Her family and everyone who knew her will miss her very much.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony Road, Wallingford, on Friday morning, Jan. 24th, at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All-Saints Mausoleum. Please omit flowers and if so desired, a contribution in her memory may be made to The Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
