Charles Flannigan Obituary

Charles J. Flannigan Jr.
Charles J. Flannigan Jr., 89, of Milford, CT, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept.10, 2025, husband to Lily Vernon Flannigan. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Milford, CT. A veteran of the US Army of 1958-1960, he was awarded the Good Conduct Metal and sharpshooter award. He retired as an electronic technician from Allied Signal, after 32 years. In 1989, he became a member of Elks Lodge 1589 and a member of Pine Grove Men's Club, a member of several bowling teams of 50-plus years. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing in his backyard and feeding birds.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Teresa (Christopher) Bauer, Anita (James) Steenson, Jennifer (Cory) Caserta, sister, Marie Faulkner, and two loved grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, John and Thomas Flannigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's (Precious Blood) Church. Burial will follow in All Saint's Cemetery, with full Military Honors, in North Haven, CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors or CT Hospice, in care of Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N Cliff St., Ansonia, CT 06401.
