Charles Roberts Obituary

Charles Roberts
Charles E. Roberts, age 77, of Derby, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in New Haven on September 16, 1946, son of the late Raymond and Helen (Piontek) Roberts and was a lifelong resident of Derby. Charlie started his career as a Supernumerary in the Derby Police Department. He went on to become a Driver for CT Limo and then CT Transit where he was employed until his retirement. He was also a proud veteran of the US Army. Charlie was a member of the Storms Engine Company #2, Adriatic Marchegian Club and an active communicant of St. James Episcopal Church. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He also loved his beloved dog snookie. He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers Carl Roberts his twin, James Roberts and Raymond Roberts and two sisters Brenda Freiheit and Trudy Cafasso.
His funeral service with full military honors will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church St., Ansonia. The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home are entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.adzimafh.com
