November 27, 1946 - August 24, 2025
Charlotte K. Mangs of Branford passed away unexpectedly on August 24th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at St. Raphael Hospital. She was the wife of the late Geoffrey Mangs. Beloved mother of Justen (Neisha) Kasperzyk, Ashley (Keith) Miller, Jordan (Ashley Hom) Kasperzyk, Jeffre Kasperzyk, Kelly (Jose) Hernandez, Kimberly (Rick) Colburn, and Megan Mangs. Loving sister of Stanley Fornal and the proud aunt of Nathan Fornal. Adoring grandmother of Derek (Gabriella), Dylan, and Payton Kasperzyk; Quinn and Logan Miller; Jackson and Parker Kasperzyk; Jazmine and Jeana Kasperzyk; Lucas Goyette; Maxine Hernandez; Tito, Spencer (Chelsea), and Hadley Rentas; Austin and Ally Colburn. Charlotte is also survived by great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Wyatt, and Capri, along with many dear friends and extended family members whom she treasured.
Charlotte was born in New Haven on November 27, 1946, the daughter of the late Stanley and Trifomena (Proto) Fornal. A graduate of Hillhouse High School and Quinnipiac College, Charlotte was a lifelong learner and avid reader who enjoyed her career in the paper industry before retiring as a Financial Clearance Specialist at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Charlotte captured the attention of many with her beauty, style, and radiant personality. She celebrated life to the fullest and rose to every challenge with all her might. She won people's hearts, fostered lifetime friendships, and loved fiercely. Charlotte will truly be missed by so many.
A memorial visitation will be held at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Sunday, November 23rd, from 2-4 p.m. Burial will be private. Please see her online memorial @www.wsclancy.com.
In honor of Charlotte, memorial contributions may be made to the Branford Community Foundation, for the benefit of Charlie's Closet.
