Christine Cummings Obituary
Christine Cummings, of North Branford, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2024. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Cummings. She was born in New Haven on May 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Anthony and Evelyn Carbone Borelli. Christine worked for United Illuminating in the IT department for 51 years prior to retiring. She is survived by her brother Anthony Borelli and his wife Joanne, her niece Lorie, and nephews Michael and Anthony Borelli. She had a very special bond with her niece and loved their daily phone calls. Christine was a strong, independent woman who truly lived life to the fullest. She adored her close group of girlfriends and always looked forward to their lunch dates and shopping sprees. There was never a dull moment with her sense of humor. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Blessed Michael McGivney parish at St. Michael Church at 10:00 a.m. The burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. To the Borelli Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of cousin Tina. She was my idol growing up. I loved her style of clothes, hair, makeup etc. and her sense of humor. I will always remember her beautiful smile. R.I.P. Tina
