Christine Hayes Obituary
Christine C. Hayes 74 of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in her home. She is the widow of William Hayes.
Born in Derby daughter of the late Joseph A. and Agnes (Ahearn) Clapes. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption and retired from Cooperative Education Services (CES).
She is survived by her brothers Alan (Mary Lou) Clapes and James Clapes (predeceased by his wife Betty) both of Shelton grandchildren Jordan, Ethan, Jacob, and Dylan niece Nicole and nephews Jeff and Tim. She is predeceased by her husband Bill, and sons Jeremy Hayes Ph.D, Jared Hayes and Jason Hayes.
A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 3 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of the Assumption 23 N. Cliff St. Ansonia Burial will be in Mt. St. Cemetery. Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

Chris was a wonderful coworker and friend. She helped all of us with our payroll questions. If I needed information, Chris worked hard to find answers.
She and I each had a child working in the medical field and we loved to compare notes on how they were doing.

Christine was a wonderful and caring person, I have worked with her at CES and she was a person who went above and beyond helping me and others when needed. She will be missed by al, I pray she is at rest and with her husband and sons. Rest in peace Christine
