Clare Murrihy Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clare M. (Faherty) Murrihy of Hamden, Connecticut, formerly of Recess Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, who passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Clare was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Agnes (Folan) Faherty; and her siblings, Maura and Padraig. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband, Jimmy; her daughter, Eileen; her son, Jimmy; her cherished grandsons, Ryan and Charlie; her brothers, Tom; Sean, Michael, and Martin; her sisters, Agnes, Carmel, Margaret, and Rosaleen; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and a wide circle of friends. Wake will take place Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, located at 3105 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. Funeral Mass will take place Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, located at 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, at 3100 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. The Mass will be streamed live at 11:00 AM. Link will be available on Sisk Brothers Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. You can make a tribute donation in memory of Clare online through the LLS website. The family expresses their sincere appreciation for your sympathy and support during this difficult time and extends special thanks to the Yale Cardiac ICU medical staff for their incredible care of Clare. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.

The music is playing and the tap of dancing feet and laughter can be heard from above. All her family and friends are there waiting to greet her. The kettle is boiling and the smell of the Irish bread baking, oh what a Hooley they will have in heaven tonight.
