Clare Frances O'Brien Plunkett
Clare Frances O'Brien Plunkett, 95, beloved wife of the late Paul B. Plunkett, passed into the Lord's loving arms on September 1, 2024. Clare Leaves behind their four children, Denise Connelly (Kevin), Paul, Lisa Gilfeather (Kevin) and John, as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Clare was the third daughter of George and Catherine O'Brien, and was predeceased by her loving sisters, Mary and Elizabeth. She grew up in Providence, RI and graduated from Boston Children's Hospital School of Nursing. She spent most of her life in Orange, CT and was active with her Catholic church and numerous community activities.
After settling into life in Sarasota, FL, she and Paul loved entertaining friends and family and Siesta Key Beach.
Cremation arrangements under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, NY, www.jvleahyfh.com . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Sarasota, followed by burial next to her beloved husband at Sarasota National Cemetery at a future date.

Paul, et al - Your mom was always a beautiful woman and always good to me. I really loved both your parents. They were good people (who had good people!). You have my deepest sympathies. Looking forward to seeing you next month - All the best to you and your entire family.
