Cristina Mary Capriglione Vuolo, of East Haven, died on Saturday, September 13, 2024, in Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antonio Vuolo. She was born in Capri, Italy, on May 26, 1954, a daughter of the late Michele and Carmela Imperati Capriglione.
She worked as a seamstress for over 25 years at Starter Sportswear and then worked as a cashier at Stop & Shop for over 15 years.
Cristina loved being with her family and cooking beautiful meals at holiday time. She enjoyed taking pictures of family and friends and walking on the beach. She was a straight talker who was always on the go and ready to help anyone at any time.
She was the loving mother of John (Jessica) Vuolo; sister of Annette Apuzzo, Josephine Cordova, Livia Capriglione, Anthony and Angelo Capriglione. Cristina adored her granddaughter, her "#1", Danielle-James Vuolo. She is also survived by her loving companion and caregiver Adelbert Blass, Jr.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning from 8:30am-10:30am in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Place, New Haven, at 11:00am. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
