David Mark Obituary

David Charles Mark
David Charles Mark, beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on 7/23/2024 after a two-year battle with cancer. David was born in New Haven, CT. Son of the late Donald and Eunice (Wilensky) Mark. He grew up in Ansonia, CT. After AHS graduation he attended UCONN and completed his JD at Pepperdine Law School, Malibu, CA. He settled in Boston for a decade, then moved to the North Shore Salem and Beverly. He returned to South Windsor, CT for the past 7 years.
He loved to travel and shared many adventures with his brother, Andy, cross- country and to Europe. He was a devoted supporter of Israel. David was an avid Dallas Cowboys, UCONN Basketball (Women's and Men's), and Madonna fan; this past January he had the opportunity to see Her Majesty at TD Garden. David was so funny-with dry humor and quick wit. He always had kind and complementary words for people. He had a green thumb and created the most beautiful gardens wherever he lived. David lived alone, but had his constant four-legged companions, Dallas, Baxter, and now Walker, who brought so much comfort and joy to his life, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye.
David will be missed by his siblings Linda (Lawrence) Spiegel, Carol (Ira) Dinnes, Debra (Craig) Cinquemani, Andrew (Laurie) Mark, his nieces, nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Special thanks to all of David's healthcare providers (too many to list by name). Most recently St. Francis Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center, Manchester Memorial Hospital, and Hartford Hospital for the amazing care they provided to David on his last and most difficult journey.
A memorial service will be held at Beth Sholom B'nai Israel, Manchester, CT on Sunday, August 11 at 1 PM. Donations in David's honor may be made to BSBI, Hadassah or donor's choice.

So sad and sorry for you loss. Both myself and my husband where fortunate to have known David. He was by far such a Sweet Soul. I will NEVER forget our time at the Pink Floyd concert! We sure did all enjoy that night and what great seats we had!!! You will never be forgotten; forever in our hearts. Now shine bright up above forever to be loved.

You have lost a wonderful brother, and I have lost a nice neighbor. Please accept my sympathy at this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I remember soon after I had moved into my condo, David had left his car outside. It started to rain, and I rang his doorbell, and he didn't answer, so I covered his car with plastic and left. The next time, I saw him, he told me that someone had covered his car with plastic. I had to tell him it was me, and why I had done it. He laughed and thanked me. He thought someone was playing a joke on him.

With deepest sympathy,
Jane Guerin
