On Sat, Oct. 1, 2022, David John Talmadge, 60 passed away. David was a longtime resident of Branford. He was raised in Guilford.
David was born in New Haven on May 10, 1962. He was the son of the late William and Gertrude S. Talmadge. He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Huntington of Wallingford, CT and Ann Talmadge of Rockford, IL.
He is survived by his nephew Brandon Nobile, Wallingford, CT, niece Katharine Klock of Rockford, IL, Aunt June Swenor of Bethel, VT and Aunt Rose Talmadge in Kaneohe', HI. He is also survived by many cousins.
David was a graduate of Guilford High School, Class of 1983. David was formerly employed by Gravy Master in Branford for 20 plus years. The last 9 years he was employed by Friends & CO restaurant in Madison.
David had a great sense of humor and loved playing harmless jokes on people known or unknown until a shared smile or laugh united them. He enjoyed trips to Vermont for family gatherings. He enjoyed going to Illinois this pass July to visit our sister and niece. He, also, enjoyed trips to the casino, win or lose. He was happiest going out to eat with any family that was around. He enjoyed walking, adult coloring books, horses, western movies, things to do with Ireland, the civil war the Yankees baseball team, the Dallas Cowboys, Nascar and Christmas.
Friends are invited to calling hours at Guilford Funeral Home on Thurs, Oct 6 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. A calling hour will precede the funeral service from 1 to 2 p.m. on Fri., Oct 7. The funeral will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to
