March 28, 1975 - October 1, 2022
It is with immense sorrow to announce the passing of Donald "Donnie" Guest of East Haven on October 1, 2022. He is survived by his loving daughter Adriana Guest of East Haven, his parents Alberta and Donald Guest of North Branford, his sister April Tarquino of North Branford and brother Scott (Mari) Guest of Madison. Also his beloved nephew Tyler Scott and nieces Madelyn and Olivia Guest. Donnie worked for the New Haven Public Works as a machine operator and had a great time with all of his friends at his workplace. Graduated from Wilbur Cross in New Haven. He was a great person to talk to giving comfort and compassion to anyone who reached out to him. He enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. His interests were history and science, including Nikola Tesla and the study of aliens. He was a very funny person to be around; the life of every party always making everyone around him laugh and smile. Donnie made sure that every action he made was out of love, making his impact on everybody he met a lasting one. No words could describe how loved of a man he really was, or how loving he was to everyone he knows. He will forever be missed and in all of our hearts.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80), East Haven Thursday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will be private. Adrianna, Alberta, Don Sr. and the family. My sincere, heartfelt condolences to you all. I empathize your pain. I wish I can tell you it gets better. However, his smile, his laugh and the genuine act of kindness he displayed everyday of his life will be the memory that can help soothe the painful feelings. Donnie was the best uncle ever!
