Dorris Marie Buehring, 93, of Milford, CT died suddenly, but peacefully, from natural causes on March 10, 2023, in the arms of her daughter Suzanne Standish. She was mentally sharp until her last breath. Dorris was born May 25, 1929, daughter of William Henry Ferguson and Gladys Irene Ferguson (nee Eaton). She was raised with her seven siblings in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She lived in Montreal, Quebec, Farmington Hills, MI, and in Fairfield Glade, TN before moving to Milford, CT after the passing of her husband Jim Buehring of 36 years.
Dorris loved her family and is survived by her daughter, her grandchildren: Alex Quintner and Rachel Quintner, and her great-grandchildren: Oscar and Henry Quintner and Sebastian and Charlotte Ward. She is survived by her stepchildren, James F. Buehring (Donna) and Nancy Hawkins (Forrest) and their families. She is also survived by her sisters, Theresa Stockwell and Ruth Duff in MI and her brother, William (Bill) Ferguson in CA. She has many nieces and nephews all over the US and Canada.
Dorris is predeceased by her parents, her husbands, her son, her sisters, Pat Borowski and Vera Roach, and her brothers, Frank Ferguson and Allen Ferguson.
A memorial and celebration of Dorris's life will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 71 River Street, Milford, CT 06460 on March 26, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Dorris's final resting place will be next to Jim Buehring at the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church in Fairfield Glade, TN.
