TO Carol,Eddie and family.

Today we lost one of the good ones,he was so much to so many. Ed and I have been close friends for 40 years and was also my best man. He left me with many fond memories and much wisdom. The last time we were together was over lunch the day before I came home to Florida and when I dropped him off at the office,as he was getting out of the car I grabbed his arm and he looked at me as I told him I loved Him,he nodded and went to the office....My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am saddened to learn of Ed's passing. He was respectable business. Eddie built a very successful business and will be remembered as a hard working individual who built a strong company for the last fifty plus years. We will miss him but his memory will last forever in our industry.

Carol, Ed Jr.,Dan and Sam

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss, there are so many things that come to my mind when I think about Mr. Mauro. He always made me simile every time I spoke to him and always asked about my family, kids and how I was feeling , also saying a few funny things . I would always walk away thinking that's a great man. Those encounters I will truly miss. God blessed you with a special man and I'm blessed to have known him and you all. I'll never forget him.

Carol, Ed and Family, my heartfelt condolences. Your father ALWAYS had a smile on his face, and an "happy to see you" attitude. Fond memories of back in the early 90s, when he'd walk into the office at S&L at any given time. I had never known the story of your Father being such a hero. I so would have liked to have thanked him for his service. Godspeed, Mr. Mauro.

Mr. Mauro,
You were always an inspiration for me and my family. Your dedication to your own family and those around you is how I try to live my life every day, whether it is my own family or the Soldiers I proudly serve. Throughout many of life's pinnacle moments you were there standing beside my Father or supported me behind the curtain. I cannot thank you enough. I will always cherish the memories of lunch with you and my Father, where you taught me many lessons about leadership and life before I joined the Army, and also your visit to West Point. On that trip I vividly remember sitting down with you for what must have been at least an hour. Our discussion focused mainly on my daily life as a Cadet, what I needed to know as an Officer, and details about how I earned the few ribbons that I had at that time. I will never forget this moment. I truly believe it helped define me as a leader of Soldiers. They benefit everyday through the wisdom you have given me. You are truly missed and I wish we could have had more discussions where I just sat and listened to the wonderful stories you had to share.

Sincerely and Respectfully,
1LT Matthew D. Spaziante, U.S. Army

Carol, Edward and family,
Some of my happiest memories as a child were living in my grandmother's house with all my aunts and uncles. Uncle Eddie was so kind and loving and I always looked forward to his coming home at supper time because he teased me a lot and made me feel special.
May God bless him and all his family.

Ed Mauro, Sr. was a man after God's own heart - full of love, compassion and kindness, a true peacemaker. His sunshine smile and sparkling sense of humor are a very big part of his awesome legacy. A friend to me personally, he was an exemplary father-in-law to my daughter, and grandfather to my granddaughter. It is truly earth's loss and Heaven's gain. Rest well in our Lord's Kingdom, Ed dear.
My love and prayers of comfort to all the family, as you forever remember and celebrate a life well-lived.

Ed was the most giving contractor a electrian could hope to work for. He set the example for us to follow, first to get to work every morning and the last to leave at night .
I offer my condolences to Carol and Ed and want them to know that I respected their Dad to the highest degree.
Ed you will be so missed but you will never be forgotten .
RIP ,
