Florence Zalewski Kasprzycki passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Florence is predeceased by her wonderful husband Chester Kasprzycki, loving twin sister Lillian Zalewski, sister Stephanie Dynia, and brother Louis Zalewski. She leaves behind her son Gary Kasprzycki and wife Cheryl, and daughter Karen DelChiaro and granddaughters Tarra and Marlo DelChiaro, Ashley Besescheck and Dayna Kasprzycki and 3 great-granddaughters.
Florence lived life to the fullest. She started her career at Traphagen School of Design in NYC to engage in an exciting career as a bridal consultant at Hattie Carnegie and Lord and Taylor in NYC. She met Chet, the boy across the street in his handsome naval uniform and returned home to marry in 1950. She continued her passion in retail at Hamilton's and The Edward Malley Co in New Haven.
Florence retired from her sales position at SNET Yellow Pages and became an active member of The Greater Federation of Woman's Clubs, President of the New Haven Women's Club, Polish Junior League, Kosciusko Foundation, New Haven Council of Catholic Women, and International Poetry Society. She was also an accomplished artist.
Flo's passion was her family and they will tell you she was the most outstanding mother, grandmother friend and mentor. She lived a glorious 95 years and celebrated every day with joy. Her family was blessed with her many wise life lessons and we will celebrate her life every day!
Friends and family may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Chapel St., New Haven Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Catholic funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. followed by private burial in All Saints Cemetery
