Frances Lorenzo Obituary
Entered into rest, Aug. 15, 2022, Frances Gloria Marchitto Lorenzo, 97, of Branford; wife of the late Dominic A. Lorenzo; beloved mother of Michael (Susan) and Pamela A. Lorenzo; loving grandmother of Daniel (Olga) and Thomas (Amanda) Lorenzo; also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; born May 7, 1925, daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina Mendocino Marchitto. She was also predeceased by her 11 siblings Harry, Edward, Joseph, Pasquale, Richard, Anthony, Louis and Amelia "Dolly" Marchitto, Mary Rubertone, Ida "Edie" Cole and Carmella Altieri. Frances had worked for SNET as a payment processor for 20 years retiring in 1987 and previously as a cashier at the Forest and Lawrence Theatres. She belonged to the Telephone Pioneers Union, was active in the Democratic Party New Haven Wards 14 and 17 and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Her family wishes a special thank you to the staff and admintrators at Branford Hills Health Care Center for their wonderful care.
Friends and family may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Chapel St., Thursday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 129 Edwards St. at 10 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492. Offer condolences at marescafuneralhome.com.
